SMART TAB
PRIVACY

This policy explains how D-HAG handles information for Smart Tab Recorder. Last updated: September 5, 2026.

Product and scope

Smart Tab Recorder is a D-HAG Chrome extension that records a tab selected by you. This policy applies to the extension, its account and payment features, and related support services.

Information handled

To provide the service, Smart Tab Recorder may handle your verified Google email address and, where applicable, your Google subject/account identifier. It uses Google OAuth access for sign-in and Smart Tab application session tokens; application sessions are protected and hashed server-side where applicable.

We may also process account and subscription information, including your selected or current plan, plan expiry, usage counts, and entitlement or account status. Usage such as recording-start/use counts may be associated with your account and date to enforce plan limits.

For payment verification, we may process the selected plan, expected amount, transaction or reference ID, an uploaded payment receipt or proof, and payment status/history.

Selected tab and recordings

Smart Tab Recorder may inspect the URL of the tab you select locally to identify browser-restricted pages. Selected tab titles may be stored locally in recovery metadata, and selected tab IDs or session metadata may be retained locally for recording and recovery.

The extension captures video and audio from the tab you select. Recording video and audio bytes remain on your computer and are not uploaded to the Smart Tab backend. A separate exception applies to a payment receipt image you choose to upload: that image is sent to our backend and private storage for payment verification.

Information we do not collect

Smart Tab Recorder does not collect health information, precise or approximate location for application purposes, passwords, credit or debit card numbers, private messages separately from content you intentionally record, or your full general browsing history.

Service providers

Account, payment, and support data may be processed through service providers that help operate Smart Tab Recorder, including Render for backend hosting, Supabase for database and private payment-receipt storage, and Google for authentication. We do not expose infrastructure secrets or credentials through this service.

How we use information

D-HAG does not sell user data. We use information only to provide, secure, maintain, support, and enforce Smart Tab Recorder features and subscriptions. We do not use data for lending or creditworthiness, and we do not use it for personalized advertising.

Retention and deletion

Local recordings remain under your control. Local recovery metadata may remain until a recording is completed, recovered, or deleted. Account, usage, and subscription records may remain while needed to operate the account. Payment records and receipts may be retained for payment verification, disputes, security, accounting, or legal requirements.

You may contact D-HAG at support@d-hag.com about your account or a request to delete applicable data.

Google API data

Information received from Google APIs is used in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service, including protected application sessions and private receipt storage. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your recording responsibility

Please read the Important Use & Legal Notice. You must record only where authorized. Smart Tab Recorder does not bypass DRM, paywalls, or access controls, and you are responsible for applicable consent, law, and platform rules.
